Poem: A Quiet Truth
By Utsho Chandra Roy
I spoke once in the spring,
And again when autumn came—
Twice the wind carried my heart,
But you never called its name.
Still, the stars have not moved,
Nor has your smile lost its light.
Some stories sleep in silence,
Yet dream through every night.
If I never say a word again,
Still, you'll echo in my skies—
For some loves live without a voice,
But never truly die.
In Simple,
To You, Who Still Lives in the Corners of My Heart,
I still remember 2020... and again, 2021—
two moments when I let my heart speak.
But maybe the words were too quiet,
or the timing wasn't right.
Even now, after all this time,
your smile still carries light,
and your name still lingers in the quiet
between my thoughts.
Some stories are never told out loud.
Some feelings are folded away like letters never sent.
But just because I stopped speaking,
doesn’t mean I ever stopped feeling.
If you ever wonder—yes,
some loves stay silent,
but they never truly fade.
